AVON WALK FOR BREAST CANCER HOUSTON '09

April 3-5, 2009 I participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Houston! It was such an experience! I was truly blessed in one weekend. I crewed for the weekend and it was an experience of a life time! I loved it! I enjoyed meeting all the walkers and survivors and serving them! I am proud to say that I, along with many of you, are part of the 1.8 million dollars raised in Houston! It is truly a life long passion of mine to help eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease! It has taken a toll on many of my loved ones and I am fortunate enough to fight the battle for so many that can no longer fight it on their own! While there I decided to become a repeat offender and signed up for the Houston walk 2010! The tentative date is September 25th & 26th! Here are some photos from that weekend in no particular order! ULTRA SOUND PICS!!

Here are the pics from the Ultra Sound we had that told us we were having a boy! The first pic is of course his "boy part" and I LOVE the second one with his hands up around his face! Sorry it took so long to post them! Love to all! Got to go pack for the Avon Walk!

It's a BOY!

No sugar and spice for this girl! It's Snakes and snails and puppy dog tails! We went to the Doctor on Monday for an ultrasound to see if we were having a boy or a girl. After a while of him keeping his legs together, my little sunshine finally let us take a picture that showed us he was indeed a boy! So Caden Lane is on his way! Me and David are so excited! Now if we can only agree on things to register for! lol We have a few different ideas but we are looking for a nursery theme that we will both LOVE! It was special to have both Granny (David's mom) and Aunt Ronca (as Zacky calls Veronica) at the ultrasound with us! Next month is my Glucose test so we are keeping positive that the results will be good. Dr. Wang said things look great and my due date didn't change, Caden is still due to arrive July 25th! We'll see if he stays on schedule or if he decides to be late like cousin Brooklyn! Although much preparation is ahead, I can't wait until my little man arrives! I am so blessed to be having him! Our little miracle in the making!

5 DAYS TO GO!

Can you believe that in 5 short days we'll be finding out whether we're going to be blessed with a baby boy or a baby girl?! I can hardly wait! We are so excited! I'm ready to start planning a nursery! And I can't wait to go shopping and register! I have truly been blessed with this child! Last night the girls at work did an ultrasound on me just trying to figure out what it is. Our little bedside ultrasound wasn't very helpful in that endeavour however! Dawna swears there is more than one baby in there and that it is a girl! and Jenni swears its a baby boy. They were so funny fighting over the wand and telling each other which way to go. lol it was funny! Misty also did a random blood pressure check and my BP is still good @ 105/62 last night, or should I say this morning. Thank God for his blessings! David and I just can't wait until Monday! We were walking at the park tonight after life group talking about how things are going to change after this bundle of joy gets here! Well I'll be back Monday with the good news of the sex of our baby!

Casie Jo and Sean's Wedding!

March 7, 2009 Casie Jo, one of my very best friends and Sean got married! It was a beautiful ceremony! And the reception sure was a party! Lots of smiles, friends, family, dancing, and even tears with Cody's (Casie's brother) toast! "It hurts to be Beautiful." Words Casie's grandmother used to tell her before her passing. You just had to be there because tears would have formed in your eyes too. Well done Cody! And Kayla and Patrick's song sure was hilarious. Here are just a few pics until I get the rest from David! I think I pulled off a teal chifon dress pretty well for a 20 week pregnant woman! lol! More to come!

Doctor Visit

February 17 David and I went back to see Dr. Wang. The monthly check up to see how the baby is doing went good! We got to hear the heartbeat! It was beating pretty fast at 163! She said the baby is growing and everything is "right on target" and she scheduled us for our ultrasound for March 23! YaY! We get to find out if its a boy or a girl!! We are so excited! I'm ready to start on the nursery! & it's a little hard to plan without knowing what you are going to have! Although everyone already thinks it's going to be a boy. But we will see! Love you all!

Oh, Aunt Jeannie! You are more than welcome for the e-mail! My life has definitely been Blessed! And it wouldn't have been the same without Him!

FAMILY TIME!

I'm super excited! Next week is now fastly approaching and I get to see the rest of my family! I am so EXCITED! Vanessa and lil Miss Brooklyn, the newest LOVE of our lives will be here on Saturday! I'm super excited for what next week has in store. Besides the 4 days I have to work, two of which being my TNCC certification day! Ooops! That's next week too? I better get that book back out! But my mommy will also be here! I can't wait! God has truly blessed me with a wonderful family and for that I am blessed beyond measures! Don't forget the book you are bringing me Nes! EXPECTING A BLESSING!!

Well Family, I'm proud to announce that David and I are expecting our first child!! The tentative due date is July 25, 2009. Three days before my birthday! We went to the Doctor today, and so far so good. Things are moving along smoothly and I am super excited as is David! Good thing we weren't planning the wedding until next year! I am approximately 13 weeks & 4 days along. God has truly Blessed this girl! From being the scared 15 year old girl in a hospital bed that thought she would never have children to a 25 year old woman expecting her first child! Ten years of "we don't know" to positive proof! This is definitely my miracle in the making! GOD IS GOOD! All the time!!

Engaged!

Well ladies he finally did it! He knelt to the ground, pulled out a ring and said Marry me Juliet!! Well without the Juliet part! but it was just as Romantic! Of course I said Yes! We haven't set a date yet, but we will work on it! I'm so blessed to have him in my life!! And am so in Love with him! Life is a Blessing!

Nature of Lights!

Last night we went to Lake Belton to see the Christmas lights! It was so pretty! We even got to take a picture with Santa Clause and drank some hot chocolate! It was a lot of fun! Kinlee fell asleep in the truck on the way home! She was pooped! But we all had a blast! David took lots of pictures of the different lights, I will have to get them from him and update the post later. Bailee also took a lot with her phone and sent them to Netta! Hope at least one or two came out!

BROOKLYN is Here!

Welcome Brooklyn Lea Wood!! Congrats Vanessa!! You have a Beautiful baby girl! She is soo cute! Can't wait to see more pictures! You will be a great mom! Here are some of the pics I have been sent to far! I love yall so much!! God has sent another Blessing and we are so lucky! Can't wait to watch her grow up!!

Mclain turns 7!!!

McLains' 7th Birthday was a big hit!! We drove to Houston on a Friday night and Frank went and picked up Mclain because he wanted to stay the night! We ordered in pizza to the motel and watched cartoons. Liza told me that after they went to their room that Bubba fell asleep on the bed and Mclain and Zack were jumping from bed to bed, but it didn't wake Bubba up! Then on Saturday we went to breakfast at IHOP! They brought Mclain out a birthday treat! He got ice cream! Of course he had already finished his pancake and fruit bowl (for the most part! lol). Then we went and took pictures of the kiddos. We went to Nasa's Space Center and was told not to touch the fence.! HEHEHE! Now we know! Then we went to the Kemha Boardwalk and rode the train. We even rode over parts of the Boardwalk that was missing. You looked down and it was water!! Crazy! Ike sure did a number on that pretty place! They are rebuilding it tho. I stayed down with Zack, Bubba, and Mclain while the rest of the gang rode the Boardwalk Bullet! We had a mini photo shoot...although most of those pics are on Liza's camera. After that was party time!! The kiddos played laser tag and all the games in the place. It was a pretty cool place and the kids had a blast! Of Course Mclain made out like a KING! with all the gifts he got. On the way home we stopped at Taco Cabana, the funniest part was when Zackary decided to go poo-poo in the potty and had to strip off all his clothes in order to do so! We all had a great weekend despite the traffic delays! The kiddos did great with only a few arguments here and there. Enjoy the pics ladies! In no particular order of course!!

~UT vs. A&M~

David's parents got us tickets for the UT vs. A&M game. So for Thanksgiving David and I, his sister Angie and her husband Brandon, and David's dad went to the game! It was so much fun! We, the LONGORNS won!! Of course we did! Here are the pics from the game!
