Gathering of Girlfriends!

The weekend of 11/7/08 to 11/9/08 I got the opportunity to go on a Gathering of Girlfriends retreat with some of the ladies from church at the Round Top Christian Retreat Center in Round Top, Texas. It was great times! God really worked that weekend! He put new people in our lives, helped us to grow in our walk with Christ, get away, hear from a great speaker Jenny Broughton, and much more! God is Awesome! We had a great time! Tons of laughs, fellowships, cries and even pedicures from one of the ladies. From learning "what not to wear" to learning "what to wear" by knowing what to have in both your personal closet and spiritual closet is was a great retreat. I enjoyed every moment there! Here are some of the pictures from the weekend, in no particular order including the house we stayed in and several crazy shots you can see we had a blast! Cindy, Lorraine, Alice, and Michelle

LOVE

Well I'm about to be out the door! Off for a weekend retreat with the ladies from Church! I'm so excited! Just got a few last minute errands to run! I received some beautiful roses from David and a card this morning! He loves me and I am truly blessed! Me and David went out to dinner last night since I won't get to see him this weekend! Here are so fun photos we took! Love yall!

I LOVE HIM!!

*NASCAR*

This past weekend I was able to get away with some friends of mine, Stephanie, Stephanie and Kerri! We went to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for shopping, a night out, and NASCAR! That was Stephanie's Birthday gift to the rest of us, Nascar tickets! So we went out shopping, I spent way too much money but got a lot of Christmas out of the way! We went to dinner Saturday night, to Gilley's in Dallas, then to the Stockyards. It was a blast! Although Gilley's was nothing like I thought it would be, you know? That Urban Cowboy kind of experience! It failed in comparison, but was good live music! Sunday was Nascar day! It was a lot of fun! Nothing like being there in person! Gentleman Start Your Engines! My favorite part! I got my brother his annual gift, and I will give it to him for Christmas probably since it was a Fall race. My driver ran out of gas and finished in 20th, but it was good times. Us girls had a lot of laughs and will do it again sometime! Our humor together is something no man would appreciate like us gals do! Here are a few pictures! # 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr! My racer!
Before the race!

Chris River's Band played and he came out to take a picture! I was the DD. We go out in style of course...we are always taken care of! Nascar night! Just after the race!Silly me!Going into Gilley'sAt the Stockyards on the Spur

FIRST TIME VOTER

So I voted for the first time in my life today! An experience it was! Voting wasn't as bad as I expected it to be! I didn't even have to wait in line! I will be voting in every election to come as I want my "voice heard" so to speak. Even though the man I voted for will not be serving our Country as the President of the United States of America, I pray that the winner will prove to be a great leader for it is what America needs. We will see what is coming for us in 2009. May the Lord be with us all through the changes to come and may HE be with the new leaders of the Country! Let's see what is in store for us as a country once our new President gets into office. Because I Thank my God every day for the Country I live in; the LAND of the FREE BECAUSE of the BRAVE!
